Pretty Pastels

Pastel colors have been trending since fall on the runways, and they are in full bloom in retail stores this season.  These feminine and softer pastel colors naturally reflect the colors of nature during early spring. The simplicity and lightness of pale and soothing pastel hues help us transition from the the darker colors and heavy knits filling our closets.  Adding a pastel accessory such as a handbag, ring, or shoe to a dark grey or navy top will give your wardrobe a fresh new look. Blush is quickly becoming the must have pastel color of the season .  This faded pink hue compliments many skin tones and also pairs nicely with almost any other pastel or neutral color.  It also wardrobes easily with Marsala, the current color of the year and rose gold jewelry.   Some skin tones looks better with blush hues that have a bit more pink and less beige undertones.  To find a blush wardrobe piece that works for you, try on a variety of tops and scarves and look for an undertone that brightens your face and doesn’t wash you out.
